I'll Share Winter With You

This is a poem that was inspired by Fireblossom Friday's wintry challenge across the way to the Imaginary Garden. Winter is always better shared with each other because we can feel the warmth from each other's words.

Feel the cold chill of the winter
With a warm heart, and sunder
The hills blanketed in the white
And a stream covered in light
Rolling along so close to home
A place full and called wonderland.

Frost upon the brow and face
Tell tale of icicles under nostrils
A breath just a furlong away
From two inches across the mouth
And forming smoke circles in air
We imagine shapes of the stars.

Mist travels with you in the rain
Wet as it may be, it is warming
And comfortable to walk in
When inside a metallic vehicle
Drawing shapes upon the window.

Crossing the bridge together
Hand in hand, swinging along
With your pink cheeks and red nose
Like Rudolph you'll shine the way
Into the heart of a winter snow
Like our moment of ice skating
On the surface of that water pond.

We will share winter together.

    1. It is funny that you mention Hallmark because I watch those movies with my mother once in a while. She particularly likes the Good Witch movies, and is really excited that there is going to be a television series for it. I'm equally excited to see the magic. Thanks for stopping by Hannah. :)

  4. Oh yes - that part of winter is a blessing. Skating with someone you love is actually a paradise of sort. And coming in and shar a fireplace. Lovely, and thank for a reminder.

    1. My home doesn't really have a fireplace, but I used to live in a place that did. I actually enjoyed chopping wood back then.

    1. It occasionally rains where I live during the winter, but it is frozen rain. Makes it dangerous to drive unfortunately.

    1. Although I'm sure riding a bicycle could be a bit difficult on ice and snow. Your statement is completely true though. Everything is more fun when there are others to share the moment with.

Why oh why!? This is so beautiful I want to cry, and it feels like love. ¬¬ I've just a poem of yours where you said you don't often touch the topic, eh... :)

This is love anyone would be glad to embrace Kenn.

I've never seen/touched snow. But it was only recently I've seen the sea also, I guess this poem will become even more beautiful to me once I can catch a snowflake on my tongue or to shine someone's way, like your Rudolph up here.

    Kiss.

    1. I can write poetry of the romantic persuasion, it is how I started writing it so long ago, but I choose not to do it too much anymore. The reason I am doing this is because I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone a little bit. Besides, romantic poetry is one of the leading genres nowadays.
